Education
The word education can mean many things in today’s world, and at Energetics Research and Engineering, we believe that people never have to stop educating themselves. As we work in the fields of science and engineering, we get involved in projects that focus on educating various audiences including:
- K-20 students – Energetics Research and Engineering believes in teaching science and mathematical concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math - STEM) to our children and future professionals to ensure they are capable of
- solving tomorrow’s technological challenges,
- competing technologically on a global scale, and
- understanding how energy and electricity are used and generated such that they can be prudent citizens and consumers in the future.
- Lawmakers – Texas is at the bottom in child performance. STEM skills are core educational areas for students to succeed in the new economy, and our lawmakers need to assure our students are prepared by created programs and awareness that maximize teachers' effectiveness. The teaching of energy and conservation are the perfect topics with which to educate and create an informed citizenship in the future. Energetics Research promotes the teaching of energy, renewable energy, and efficiency as topics to introduce STEM content.
- Consumers and citizens – Ultimately the energy and electricity consumers are ultimately the ones that influence lawmakers (through voting) and utilities (by choice in deregulated markets). Also, by becoming active in participants in hearings, meetings, and lobbying groups, community citizens can play a large role in making sure utility companies properly consider the impacts of their actions.
